Insight Enterprises is a top distributor of computer hardware and software in North America, carrying thousands of products from major manufacturers, such as Hewlett-Packard, IBM, and Microsoft. It uses direct telesales and field sales agents to reach customers in business, government, and education. Insight, which has boosted its services unit, also sells products through catalogs and its Web site. In addition to North America, it serves customers in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia/Pacific. It bought software and mobile solutions firm Software Spectrum, as well as Calence, a networking and communications company.
