03.08.2007 Intrinsic Achieves Three new Microsoft® Competencies: Information Worker Solutions, Mobility Solutions and Networking Solutions
Chicago, IL – March 8, 2007 – Intrinsic Technologies, a premier Microsoft technology service provider,
announced today that it has achieved the requirements needed for three new competencies in the
Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Program which brings Intrinsic’s number of earned competencies to
five adding to the Advanced Infrastructure Solutions and Security Solutions Competencies.
"Our consultants have self-created a culture of achievement through the certification process and a
commitment to exceeding customer expectations. Our success in achieving these core competencies
within the Microsoft Partner Program parallels our success in the field," said Al Batson, Intrinsic Chief
Operating Officer.
Achieving a Microsoft Competency requires customer references and individual certifications. The
Information Worker Competency covers the specialization for Messaging and Collaboration. Messaging
and Collaboration utilizes Microsoft Office System, Microsoft Exchange Server, Office Live
Communications Server 2003, and Windows SharePoint Services. The Mobility Solutions Competency
is a proven competency in developing and deploying Windows Mobile-based solutions and applications
using Microsoft tools and software. Networking Infrastructure Solutions is dedicated to crafting small to
midsize business infrastructure solutions that include server solutions based on either the Microsoft
Windows Server 2003 operating system or the Windows 2000 operating system.
Through an in-depth study conducted from June through August 2005, IDC found that Microsoft
partners who have earned a Microsoft Competency in Advanced Infrastructure (AI) Solutions or
Information Worker (IW) Solutions outperform comparable industry benchmarks on 12 of the 14 key
performance indicators (KPIs) we measured. IDC also found that a sample of Microsoft partners focused
on Mobility Solutions using Microsoft technology are experiencing strong business performance. These
study findings suggest there is significant business value for partners earning one or more of these
recently introduced Microsoft Competencies. Our findings also challenge some commonly held
perceptions in the industry about what contributes to a company’s business performance.
