07.01.2006      Albany International Makes Strategic Decision to Move from Domino Notes Platform to Microsoft Exchange 2003

Lisle, IL - July 1, 2006 - Albany International in late 2005 made a strategic decision to migrate its messaging and collaboration infrastructure from IBM Domino Notes to Microsoft Exchange 2003. Albany International was looking to for a robust standardized messaging platform to integrate with its already existing Microsoft Infrastructure. Too better enhance internal standards and "best practices' around disaster recovery, performance, security, mobility, collaboration and serviceability.

Intrinsic scoped the project and delivered a technology "roadmap" for Albany International for best practices and business processes around platform migrations and worked with Quest Software to ultimately win the business.

Intrinsic has proven the following components as critical to successful project execution and delivery:

  • Technical proficiency with automated migration tools and familiarity with Albany International's current infrastructure

Albany International offered its stock to the public in 1972 and listed on the New York Stock Exchange in July 1974. In 1976, it moved its corporate headquarters from the Felt Division location on Broadway tp the newly renovated Sage Estate, about a mile away.
